These terms govern the use of the Vaelorn game, available at vaelorn-official.com (the "game"). The operator is a developer going by the name Foro (see the About page for contact). By creating an account or playing the game (including the trial without registration), you agree to these terms.

What the game offers

Vaelorn is a free browser RPG maze. Playing is and will remain free - no gameplay-affecting feature is paywalled. The game may display ads (see the privacy policy) and offers voluntary support for development via Ko-fi, which gives no in-game advantage.

Account

To create an account you must provide a genuine username (not someone else's identity, nor an offensive or impersonating name) and keep your password confidential.
The account is for personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
You can permanently delete your account and all data tied to it at any time, directly in-game under Settings.

Rules of conduct

To keep the game fun for everyone, while using it you must not:

abuse bugs, exploits, or bypass game mechanics for an unfair advantage (e.g. tampering with client data, automation/bots),
harass, insult, or discriminate against other players (in guild chat, messages, your username, or elsewhere),
attempt to disrupt the game's operation or gain unauthorized access to other players' data or the server,
create multiple accounts to abuse game rewards (e.g. the referral system).

Violating these rules may lead to a temporary or permanent account suspension, depending on severity.

Intellectual property

All game content (code, artwork, music, text, game design) is copyrighted and belongs to the operator unless stated otherwise. Playing the game grants you no rights to this content beyond using it for personal play.

No warranty

Vaelorn is a hobby project by a single developer, provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that specific game data will be preserved forever (though we do of course try to preserve progress and back it up). The developer is not liable for damages arising from use of the game to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Changes to the game and these terms

The game keeps evolving - mechanics, balance, and these terms may change from time to time (see the in-game News section for the current changelog). We try to announce major changes to these terms on this page.
